Yakima police provide IDs in officer’s shooting

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — Yakima police have identified a 24-year-old man shot and critically wounded by a police officer as an Iraq war veteran and community college student.

Police say Raymond Faucher III of Yakima disobeyed commands to drop a pistol he took from his pocket Monday at a Bank of America branch.
