Suspect in Wapato stabbing death surrenders

YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — A suspect in a fatal stabbing at Wapato has surrendered to authorities in Yakima.

The sheriff’s office says 21-year-old Chester Olen Johnson turned himself in Thursday night at the county jail.

He was wanted on an arrest warrant in the Tuesday night killing of 27-year-old Javier Garcia, Jr., of Wapato outside a party.
