Marrion — The Marrion neighborhood has a new community garden. A grand opening of the Marrion Neighborhood Garden is set for 10 a.m. Saturday.

Shorty’s Nursery is the main benefactor of the garden. Walmart employees, the Vancouver Watersheds Council and Grace Lutheran Church have been supporters of the garden. The tool shed was provided by the Watersheds Council.

The garden is behind Shorty’s Vancouver store at 10006 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd., across Second Street and is fully fenced for security.

For more information about the grand opening contact Charlie Stemper, 360-823-9202.
