PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland Fire and Rescue says a woman who accidently dropped her backpack off a dock jumped into the Willamette River Monday night to retrieve it.
The Oregonian reports bystanders had pulled her out by the time rescuers arrived.
She was taken to Legacy Emmanuel hospital as a precaution.
