Clark County’s supply of homes for sale inched down to a 7.8 months in April from 8.3 months in March, a sign that buyers are working through the existing stock as builders continue to hold back on producing new models.
The numbers, released Monday by Portland-based RMLS, could also indicate that home sellers are taking their listings off the market until sale prices improve.
The median sales price — half sold for more, half for less — for Clark County homes sold through the RMLS listing service was $189,900 in April, down 6 percent from the median in April 2010, but slightly higher than March’s median price of $186,400.
