PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An Oregon high school student has been arrested after a report that a student was threatening to bring a gun to school.

Portland police said Tuesday that 18-year-old Shayne Austin Mejia, also known as Shayne Charette, was arrested after officers from the Youth Services Division responded to the report at Cleveland High School in southeast Portland.

Police said the student had ammunition in his possession but no firearm. Officers checked the school grounds and did not locate a firearm.

Mejia was charged with disorderly conduct.
