The Parks Foundation of Clark County announced Wednesday that it has received $25,000 in support of its recreation scholarship program, called Everybody Plays!
Everybody Plays! provides children from low-income families access to programs offered by Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation.
“Parks and Recreation budget cuts throughout Clark County make programs like the Everybody Plays! Recreation Scholarship program vulnerable,” said Cheri Martin, executive director of the Parks Foundation. “The Parks Foundation is committed to help fill the funding gaps for this program and others like it in our community.”
The Community Foundation for Southwest Washington provided two grants — $15,000 through its Community Giving Fund and $10,000 through its Children’s Trust Fund.
