SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. (AP) — Spokane Valley police accuse a 14-year-old boy of taking a gun to school and also threatening to shoot the father of a female friend.

The teen who attends the East Valley School District’s alternative high school was arrested Wednesday by the school resource deputy and booked for investigation of felony harassment and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The police department says the boy brought the .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol to Harmony High last week wrapped in a T-shirt. It was passed to a couple of other students. One gave the gun to an adult who gave it to police.

The deputy handling the case says the 14-year-old also threatened to shoot a girl’s father who had told him to stay away from her home.
