EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) — Tavaras Hardy, the former Northwestern basketball player who has been part of coach Bill Carmody’s Wildcats staff the previous five seasons, was promoted to associate head coach Thursday.
Hardy was a four-year letterman for the Wildcats, graduating in 2002.
Hardy has been a top recruiter for the Wildcats. Northwestern has had back-to-back 20-victory seasons and made three straight appearances in the NIT.
