An overturned travel trailer being towed by an SUV that overturned on Interstate 5, north of 39th Street, was the first of several wrecks that clogged traffic on the freeway today.

The wreck was first reported at about 11:25 a.m. A tow truck arrived to remove the trailer at about 12:15 p.m. The freeway and nearby offramp were fully reopened by 1:45 p.m.

There were no injuries, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

A four-vehicle collision was reported at about 1 p.m. on southbound I-5. A bridge lift was also taking place around that same time.

The Washington State Patrol responded to both accidents.
