SCAPPOOSE, Ore. (AP) — Authorities say a 51-year-old Oregon man was reported missing Saturday, and his fishing boat found empty near Scappoose.

The Coast Guard identifies the man as Jeffrey Ferguson of Cornelius. He went fishing Friday

The Coast Guard says it got a report of an empty fishing boat at about the same time the man’s wife reported him overdue. A helicopter and boat crew were sent to search for him near Coon Island in Multnomah Strait but didn’t find him.
