NASCAR suspends RCR crewman for failed drug test

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — NASCAR has suspended a crew member from Jeff Burton’s team for violating the substance abuse policy.

Richard Childress Racing said after the suspension was announced that Gary Frost has been fired.

RCR said in a statement Tuesday it has a zero tolerance policy when an employee fails a NASCAR drug test.

Frost was most recently listed as a mechanic for Burton’s No. 31 Chevrolet.
