SEATTLE (AP) — King County prosecutors have charged a 16-year-old boy with second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of another teen at a weekend birthday barbecue in Auburn, Wash.
James Anthony Mills was charged Wednesday as an adult. He’s held on $1 million bail with arraignment set for June 6. It was not known late Wednesday whether he had a lawyer.
Auburn police say Mills was arrested Monday night when he showed up at his mother’s home disguised as a girl — in a wig, dress and high-heel shoes.
He’s accused of killing 16-year-old Adrian Wilson during Sunday’s party in the courtyard of an apartment complex. The two teens reportedly were involved in a dispute.
