A former Vancouver resident has been indicted by a federal grand jury on child pornography charges.
Joseph Schesso, 33, now of Portland, was indicted Wednesday on charges of production of child pornography, distribution of child pornography, receipt of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
In June 2010, federal agents executed a search warrant at Schesso’s Fruit Valley home and reportedly found more than 3,100 images and 500 movie files of child pornography on his computer, according to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Seattle.
The images were of one child, who was later identified as someone who had visited Schesso’s home.
If convicted, Schesso could face a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and up to 30 years in prison, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
