ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Los Angeles Angels infielder Kendrys Morales is recovering from a second surgery to clean out scar tissue and debris in his left ankle joint.

The team said Friday a bone graft was also done during Thursday’s three-hour surgery in Vail, Colo. He had the initial surgery last June.

Morales is out for the season, and no timetable has been set for his return.

The Cuban slugger hasn’t appeared in a game since May 29, 2010, when he broke his ankle while jumping on home plate to celebrate a game-ending grand slam at Angel Stadium.
