HONOLULU (AP) — The autopsy of a Washington state woman killed at a Big Island resort shows she died from multiple blunt force and sharp force trauma to her head and neck.

Hawaii County police say the autopsy on 44-year-old Susan Brockert of Bellevue was conducted Friday morning.

The 46-year-old man registered with her at The Fairmont Orchid at Mauna Lani Resort has been charged with second-degree murder and other charges.

Howard Philip Zimmerman, who is also known as Philip Howard Zimmerman, is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing next week.

Police say resort guests reported screams coming from a room Monday.

Security and staff rushed to the room where a worker saw Brockert being struck on the head with an object.

Brockert was pronounced dead at a hospital Tuesday.
