Ronin Dax wins Churchill feature

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Ronin Dax took the lead late in the stretch to win by a half-length Friday night in the $52,490 feature race at Churchill Downs.

The 3-year-old son of Tapit, ridden by Corey Lanerie, raced the mile on the turf in 1:38.54 and paid $10, $4.20 and $2.40. Perregaux returned $3.60 and $3, while The Program paid $3 to show.

Ronin Dax, the fourth choice in the field of seven, earned $32,100 to increase his career total to $108,514 for three wins in eight starts.
