TOPPENISH, Wash. (AP) — The Toppenish High School student who made headlines for faking a pregnancy for her senior project presented the project Thursday to a committee of community members.

The Yakima Herald-Republic reports Gaby Rodriguez won praise for her poise and professionalism as she talked about the stereotypes about pregnant teens. She passed, earning a 3.86 out of a possible 4 points.

Rodriguez isn’t talking with reporters now because she has a book deal in the works.
