Chad Reed races to second straight victory

WORTHAM, Texas (AP) — Australian star Chad Reed raced to his second straight victory to open the AMA Pro Motocross Championship season, sweeping the 450 Class motos in the Freestone National.

Reed, riding for TwoTwo Motorsports/Bel-Ray Racing, opened the season last week with a victory in the Hangtown National in Rancho Cordova, Calif. Reed crashed in the second moto at Freestone Raceway, but remounted in second place and took the lead when Ryan Dungey’s bike quit running.

Davi Millsaps was second overall, finish fourth in the first moto and second in the second. Ryan Villopoto was third. He was third in the first moto and fifth in the second.

Dungey ended up 25th in the second moto to finish eighth overall.
