NEW LONDON, Conn. (AP) — Harvard is still dominating the nation’s oldest intercollegiate sporting event.
The Crimson easily won the 146th Harvard-Yale Regatta on Saturday, completing the 4-mile, upstream race on the Thames River in 19:06. Yale finished with a time of 19:19.
Harvard is 92-54 in the event, including 11 of the last 12 matchups. The Crimson won the Eastern Sprints championships last week and have won every dual they’ve entered this season.
They return Thursday at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association championships in Cherry Hill, N.J., where Harvard will be aiming for its 22nd perfect season in coach Harry Parker’s 49 years.
