Kennewick teen is crowned by her sister

RENTON, Wash. (AP) — Nicole Renard of Kennewick has been crowned Miss Washington Outstanding Teen.

The Tri-City Herald reports the 16-year-old was crowned on Sunday by her sister, 18-year-old Victoria Renard, who was the reigning winner of the state pageant.

Nicole Renard advances to the national competition Aug. 18-20 in Orlando, Fla.

The reigning Miss Tri-Cities Outstanding Teen competed for the state title against 20 other young women from across the state.

Renard is a dancer and hopes her future includes a career in entertainment.
