BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) — Chum salmon returning to central and south Puget Sound may soon be followed by orca whales that feed on them.

The Kitsap Sun reports (http://bit.ly/sGw0MQ) the chum run this year appears to be later and below average.

The Orca Network, which tracks whale sightings, said resident Orcas made fewer forays into south Puget Sound in October but that could change as they follow the chum.
