New Okanogan superior court judge

OKANOGAN, Wash. (AP) — Gov. Chris Gregoire named longtime Okanogan County District Court Judge Chris Culp as the county’s second superior court judge.

The Wenatchee World reports (http://bit.ly/vnEPcR ) Culp has served as a superior court commissioner and judge pro tem.

Culp joins Judge Jack Burchard on the Okanogan Superior Court and will have to run for election next year to the position. It pays nearly $149,000 a year.
