BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) — Southbound border traffic into Whatcom County increased 16 percent through September, compared with the same period a year ago.

The total reported by Western Washington University’s Center for Economics and Business Research is nearly 10.7 million people. The busiest month was August with 1.5 million people.
