MONACO (AP) — The IAAF says two athletes have been suspended after failing doping tests at the world championships in South Korea.

The IAAF says Portuguese steeplechaser Sara Moreira and South Korean sprinter Lim Hee-nam tested positive for the banned stimulant methylhexaneamine in urine controls during the Aug. 27-Sept. 4 worlds in Daegu.

The federation says the positive findings were confirmed by the backup “B” samples.

The IAAF says both athletes are “provisionally suspended” pending disciplinary hearings.

Moreira finished 12th in the women’s 3,000-meter steeplechase. Lim ran on South Korea’s 4×100 relay team that finished fifth in its heat.
