SHANGHAI (AP) — Fredrik Jacobson played bogey-free on an overcast day at the HSBC Champions for a 6-under 66. He had a one-shot lead as several players began to take aim on a soft Sheshan International.

Despite making only birdie on the par 5s, Jacobson got around the course with little trouble.

He was at 11-under 133, one shot clear of Louis Oosthuizen and Adam Scott, with PGA champion Keegan Bradley another shot behind. Oosthuizen had a tournament best 63, while Scott also had nine birdies in his round of 65.

Sixteen players were separated by five shots going into the weekend, a group that includes Paul Casey, who lost his PGA Tour card this year. A win would give Casey a three-year exemption.
