Florida A&M slips past North Carolina A&T 26-20

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — John Williams intercepted a North Carolina A&T pass in the end zone on the final play of the game to preserve Florida A&M’s 26-20 win on Saturday night

The Aggies drove from their own 7-yard to the Florida A&M 39 before Lewis Kindle’s pass was intercepted as time expired.

Trevor Scott kicked two field goals in the second half and four in the game as the Rattlers (6-3, 4-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) broke a 20-20 halftime tie. Scott was good from 40 yards in the third quarter and from 33 yards with 4:41 remaining in the game.

Damien Fleming passed for 254 yards and two touchdowns for Florida A&M, which has won three games in a row.

Mike Mayhew ran for 80 yards and two touchdowns for North Carolina A&T (4-5, 3-3), which has lost three games in a row. Kindle passed for 246 yards, but was intercepted twice.
