PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Portland police say the deaths of a man and a woman whose bodies were found in a downtown motel room are considered suspicious.

Lt. Robert King says motel staffers found the bodies Friday afternoon in a room at the EconoLodge on Fourth Avenue. Homicide detectives and a forensic team were called.

The couple were not immediately identified. King says an autopsy is planned Saturday.
