ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Kicker Dave Rayner has agreed to a contract with the Buffalo Bills to fill in for injured veteran Rian Lindell, who is out indefinitely after hurting his right shoulder last weekend.

Rayner’s agent, Paul Sheehy, confirmed the move to The Associated Press in a text message Tuesday. Rayner has played for seven teams over parts of seven NFL seasons, including a one-game stint with Oakland last month.

He had 55 points in eight games with Detroit last year. Rayner’s most productive season came in 2006 with Green Bay. He had 109 points in 16 games.

Lindell was hurt making a tackle in a 27-11 loss to the Jets last weekend. Buffalo (5-3) travels to play Dallas (4-4) on Sunday.

NFL.com first reported Rayner was expected to sign with Bills.
