Vancouver-based Papa Murphy’s International on Tuesday announced that its president Ken Calwell would become chief executive officer of the take-and-bake pizza chain on Dec. 31.

Calwell will replace John Barr, Papa Murphy’s current chief executive officer, although Barr will remain as the company’s board chairman.

Calwell joined Papa Murphy’s, the nation’s fifth-largest pizza chain, in June. Before that, he held leadership positions at Wendy’s, Domino’s Pizza, Frito Lay, Pizza Hut and The Pillsbury Co.
