Camas police arrested two men late Tuesday who allegedly broke into Liberty Middle School.
A school custodian reported the burglary around 9 p.m. Tuesday after he saw two men break a window and enter the building, a Camas police release said. When the men noticed the janitor, they fled.
Kevin Wise, 19, and Brian Allen, 19, were contacted by an officer within two blocks of the school, said Camas Police Department Capt. Shyla Nelson. After talking with the two, the officer took them into custody, she said.
Nelson said police found evidence that the two had broken into the Camas Swimming Pool building and stole items, Nelson said. Officers also found evidence that Wise and a 16-year-old burglarized Hayes Freedom High School on the evening of Nov. 2, the release said.
The 16-year-old was taken into custody Tuesday and booked into Clark County Juvenile custody on suspicion of one count of second-degree burglary and one count of second-degree theft.
