NEW YORK (AP) — Jorge Posada says there is no chance he will be back with the New York Yankees next year and that his choice is move on to another team or retire.

Speaking Wednesday before his foundation’s annual dinner, Posada said his agents had heard from about a half-dozen teams who had expressed interest.

He said he probably will wait until shortly before the start of spring training in February to make a decision.

Posada said after spending his entire big league career with the Yankees he wasn’t sure whether he wanted to start again with a new organization and new teammates.
