A woman and a child were taken to a hospital Tuesday evening after a two-car collision on Northeast 219th Street, also known as state Highway 502, at 72nd Avenue, two miles west of Battle Ground.

At 5:49 p.m., a car driven by Marsjon Grissom Zeigler, 19, of Vancouver was in a private driveway turning east onto 219th.

A car driven by Clarissa J. Bowen, 48, of Battle Ground was headed west and hit the other car, according to a bulletin from the Washington State Patrol.

Bowen was in the emergency department of PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center on Tuesday night and her condition hadn’t yet been determined, a nursing supervisor said.

She had a child in the car who suffered arm pain, but the child’s name and medical condition were not immediately available.

Grissom Zeigler was ticketed for alleged failure to yield the right of way and driving with a suspended license, the bulletin said.
