LOS ANGELES (AP) — Candice Wiggins, who plays for the WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx, has taken an offseason job with Occidental College as an assistant women’s basketball coach.

Wiggins will focus on developing the Tigers’ guards. She was a four-time All-American guard at Stanford before playing in the WNBA.

She joins the staff of coach Heidi VanDerveer, whose sister, Tara, coaches the Stanford women’s team. The Tigers, who played in the NCAA Division III tournament last season, open the season on Nov. 21.
