LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — Bears rookie right tackle Gabe Carimi was undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Friday morning.
The team announced on its website that the first-round draft pick was having an arthroscopic procedure.
Carimi has missed six games since he injured his knee against New Orleans on Sept. 18. He practiced last Thursday but has sat out since then.
Lance Louis has started the past three games at right tackle, and the line has shown dramatic improvement. The Bears are coming off a win at Philadelphia on Monday in which Jay Cutler did not get sacked.
