Owners of the $1.6 million Source Climbing Center at 1118 Main St. in downtown Vancouver have scheduled a free public viewing, including a ribbon-cutting ceremony, refreshments and rock-climbing demonstrations, from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday.

“It’s super fun,” said Michael Lary, who co-owns the center with Hanz Kroese.

The gym includes 100 feet of climbing walls with dihedrals, corners, buttresses and overhangs to provide a challenge at all skill levels.

The Source will offer classes and gym memberships. Prices start at $12 for an all-day pass.
