Missing Hoquiam woman found dead of exposure

OCEAN SHORES, Wash. (AP) — A missing Hoquiam woman has been found dead near Ocean Shores.

Grays Harbor County Undersheriff Rick Scott tells KOMO Radio it appears Sherry Christy became lost in thick brush while picking mushrooms and died of exposure.

KBKW reports a search and rescue dog team found the body Friday morning in the Langley Hill area where her truck was found earlier this week.

The 51-year-old was the mother of seven.
