MONACO (AP) — The Polish city of Sopot will host the 2014 world indoor track championships.

The IAAF says after budgetary guarantees are approved, Sopot will organize the winter event. A competitor for the bid, Zagreb, Croatia, withdrew because of insufficient funding.

Also, the IAAF has awarded the 2014 world junior championships to Eugene, Ore. The world half-marathon championships will be held the same year in Copenhagen, Denmark.
