Veterans Day closures

What’s open and what’s closed Friday for Veterans Day:

• MAIL: No home delivery except for Express mail.

• POST OFFICES: Closed. The postal unit inside the Shell gas station at Fisher’s Landing, 16320 S.E. Cascade Park Drive, is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

• GARBAGE: Collection of trash and recyclables remains on schedule in Vancouver and most of Clark County. Inside Camas city limits, Friday’s trash and recyclables will be picked up Monday.

• PUBLIC SCHOOLS: No classes.

• COLLEGES: No classes at Clark College and Washington State University Vancouver.

• GOVERNMENT: City, county, state and federal offices closed.

• LIBRARIES: All Fort Vancouver Regional Library branches closed. Camas Public Library closed.

• CLARK PUBLIC UTILITIES: Offices open.

• BUSES: C-Tran and TriMet on regular schedules. C-Tran offices are closed.

• DRIVER LICENSING: All offices closed.

• VEHICLE LICENSING: Auto licensing offices closed.

• VEHICLE EMISSIONS: Test stations closed.

• PARKING: Meters in downtown Vancouver free.

• LIQUOR STORES: State-run stores open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

• BANKS: Most closed; branches in supermarkets may be open.

• FINANCIAL MARKETS: New York Stock Exchange, Nasdaq and other markets open.

• ANIMAL SHELTER: Humane Society for Southwest Washington open.

• OREGON ZOO: Open.

• WESTFIELD VANCOUVER MALL: Open.

• CLARK COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM: Open.

• MARSHALL COMMUNITY CENTER: Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• FIRSTENBURG COMMUNITY CENTER: Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Loaves & Fishes will be closed.

• RIDGEFIELD NATIONAL WILDLIFE CENTER: Open from dawn to dusk. Admission is free Friday through Sunday.

• FEDERAL RECREATION SITES: Day-use fees are waived at most U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management sites in Washington and Oregon, Friday through Sunday.

• THE COLUMBIAN: Circulation lines, 360-694-2312, open 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Columbian offices open.
