At least 2 die in Seattle traffic crash

SEATTLE (AP) — At least two people died and three others were injured Sunday after a traffic crash and fire on a Seattle street.

Seattle Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore tell The Seattle Times (http://bit.ly/t9Uo3x) that a sport utility vehicle traveling at high speed smashed into the back end of a small car on Lake City Way Northeast near the Northeast 110th Street intersection.

The car had stopped for a traffic light. The car caught fire and two people inside died.

Moore says the SUV also burned and three people inside where transported to Harbor View Medical Center.

Moore says the driver, a man in his 40s, sustained life-threatening injuries. A 10-year-old girl and a woman in her 20s were passengers in the back seat and suffered serious injuries.
