MONROE, La. (AP) — Jyruss Edwards ran for 191 yards and three touchdowns and Louisiana-Monroe scored early and often in routing Middle Tennessee 42-14 on Saturday.

Kolton Browning was 15 of 18 for 193 passing yards with two touchdowns and also rushed for a score — a 3-yard scamper that sparked 35 straight points for the Warhawks (3-7, 2-4 Sun Belt Conference). He also connected with Brent Leonard on a 12-yard pass and Je’Ron Hamm on a 50-yarder during the scoring spree.

Edwards notched two of his scores during the run, capping it with a 41-yard rush for a 35-0 Louisiana-Monroe advantage midway through the second quarter. His 31-yard rushing score gave the Warhawks their final margin.

The Warhawks edged the Blue Raiders (2-7, 1-4) 453-423 in total offense, including a 260-132 mark in the ground game. Louisiana-Monroe forced three turnovers while committing just one.
