This could catch on … a new party of dependent, almost useless parasitic human beings … first educated to believe they were wonderful, special and talented by public teachers, essentially older models of themselves. They enter adulthood and realize they have no special talents, they are really valueless in today’s economy. To compete, they learn, requires real work and effort, of which they have no knowledge or experience. The result is to join with others like themselves, move to the streets and start raising hell to complain how hard it is for them to live and how much they need. It may be fun and games to live on the streets with your buddies, yell and shout and hold signs up that say “Stop Greed” or “Forgive our Student Loans” but it’s not so hot for the poor parents who still support them or who have to suffer with disappointment they somehow did the wrong thing.
Life is good for a short time dependent on handouts, food stamps, government freebies. In the meantime, the tax collectors continue to collect the maximum due from those who still pay taxes and make life more tenuous for those still believing in old-fashioned values of a work ethic.
