Englishman admits killing Wales fan before game

LONDON (AP) — An Englishman has admitted killing a Wales soccer fan outside Wembley Stadium before a game between the countries on Sept. 6.

Ian Mytton has pleaded guilty to manslaughter. The Welshman who died was 44-year-old Michael Dye, whose skull was fractured before a 2012 European Championship qualifier.

The 41-year-old Mytton is from Worcestershire in central England. He will be sentenced at the Old Bailey in London on Dec. 21.

England won the match 1-0.
