Talking Points: Celebrate with a cheerleader

What’s the buzz from the world of sports? Here are some items that will have people talking:

1

Who wouldn’t want to celebrate a touchdown by hugging a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader? Even if you’re wearing the opposing team’s uniform.

It was OK for Buffalo Bills receiver David Nelson on Sunday, who scored a TD then ran to the other end of the field at Cowboys Stadium to hug not just any cheerleader — but his girlfriend.

It was reported that even the Cowboys fans cheered this move.

If college basketball on an aircraft carrier wasn’t enough to get you going, how about ESPN’s 24-hour marathon of college hoops.

Tune to ESPN — beginning with Washington State at Gonzaga — at 9 p.m. Monday through 6 p.m. Tuesday and you’ll see a game.

As always, bonus points for watching games with 1 a.m., 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. West Coast tip times.
