Battle Ground district seeks memories of old Central School

The Columbian
Published: November 15, 2011, 4:00pm

Battle Ground Public Schools has established a special page on its website to display written memories of the old Central School. Former students, staffers and the general public are invited to offer submissions.

The former school, at 300 N. Parkway in downtown Battle Ground, opened in 1941 and has been vacant since 2001. It is to be burned down Dec. 10 in a firefighter-training exercise.

To see the “Central School Memories” page, go to the district’s website — Battle Ground Public Schools — and click on the link at the top of the page.

Memories for the page may be sent to centralschoolmemories@bgsd.k12.wa.us.

The complete project proposal is available on the Woodland Public Schools website.
