FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas can complete its first undefeated season at home since 1999 when it hosts Mississippi State in Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium on Saturday.

The No. 6 Razorbacks (9-1, 5-1 Southeastern Conference) have won six straight and are still holding out hope for both a SEC and national championship.

They lead the SEC in scoring (38.8) and appear to be peaking — having outscored South Carolina and Tennessee by a combined 93-35 the last two weeks. A win against the Bulldogs would give Arkansas the program’s first back-to-back 10-win seasons since 1988-89.

Mississippi St. (5-5, 1-5) has struggled this season against the top teams. All of its losses have come against teams currently ranked in the BCS.

The Bulldogs need a win in their final two games to become bowl eligible.
