Genevieve Kortes, in her Nov. 8 letter, “Police using excessive force,” expresses gratitude “for the youthful protesters who have been undermined for so long by corporate interests.” Pardon me — “for so long”? Exactly what “long” travails have they experienced other than waiting in line overnight outside the Apple Store to pick up the newest electronic gizmo the following morning?
