PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A truck driver for Goodwill Industries has been accused of taking so many donations from the charity it took a tractor-trailer rig to haul away the evidence.
The Washington County sheriff’s office says detectives arrested 34-year-old Jason Baca of Cornelius and jailed him Thursday on theft charges.
He’s accused of sorting through donations and taking what he wanted. Detectives went to his home and found thousands of DVDs, CDs, video games, hundreds of shoes and 10 big screen TVs. Goodwill provided a truck to move the evidence to a holding area.
The sheriff’s office says the investigation began in July and more arrests are possible.
