Lampley scores 21, E. Michigan tops UALR 62-51

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Darrell Lampley scored a career-high 21 points and Eastern Michigan closed the game on a 22-10 run Friday night en route to a 62-51 victory over Arkansas-Little Rock at the Auto-Owners Spartan Invitational.

The Eagles (2-1) trailed 41-40 with 6:57 remaining when Lampley hit two baskets, added two free throws, then fed Derek Thompson for an assist during an 8-0 run that put them ahead for good.

Jamell Harris added 10 rebounds for Eastern Michigan, which shot 35 percent from the field.

D’Andre Williams and Courtney Jackson scored 11 each for UALR (2-2), which led for most of the first half and held a 23-22 lead at the break. For the game, the Trojans shot 32 percent from the field and committed 21 turnovers that led to 21 points for the Eagles.
