Blues Street wins River City Handicap

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Blues Street won the Grade 3 $111,000 River City Handicap by 4 1/2 lengths Saturday at Churchill Downs.

Blues Street, ridden by Ridden by Robby Albarado, ran 1 1/8 miles on the turf in 1:51.72 course. The 7-year-old gelding paid $7.40, $5 and $3.60 for his fourth career victory in the race. Allie’s Event returned $8.60 and $5.80, and Gleam of Hope paid $4 to show.

Owned by Anstu Stables and trained by Eddie Kenneally, Blues Street earned $66,756 to boost his career total to $647,383. He has 10 victories in 30 career starts.
